About Travel & StreeT

Travel & Street is a project by photographer and filmmaker Simon Songhurst, built on more than 30 years of experience working as a professional commercial photographer.

While Simon’s commercial work focuses on carefully crafted studio photography and visual production for brands, travel and street photography have always been the natural counterbalance — a more spontaneous way of exploring light, people, and place.

Living between the UK and Italy, and spending much of his time travelling along the coast and through cities across Europe, Simon began documenting everyday moments through a lighter, more observational style of photography. Travel and street photography offer a very different creative space from commercial work — one where experimentation, movement, and storytelling take centre stage.
